History

Crown Films Ltd was founded in 2006 by Samuel Holland and Ana Atanesyan. The company was set up to fund and produce independent film projects.

"For me, movie making is a mixture of passion, anticipation, trust and bloody-minded determination. These qualities need to be maintained from a scripts very inception to the final days of post-production.  

The key aim with Zebra Crossing was to paint a visceral picture, one that entertains yet provokes. And at no moment should the audience become overwhelmed by my opinions or beliefs, allowing them full authority to participate and come to their own judgements.

Shooting a film set in the city where you have grown is an immense privilege, yet adds the pressure of ‘getting it right’. Luckily, we had such a wealth of acting and technical talent that every moment of this journey has been a joy."
